On February 7th and 8th in Strumica, North Macedonia, a discussion forum was held on "Innovative ways to promote the common cultural heritage of the cross-border region of Bulgaria and North Macedonia."

The forum is organized by the Tourist Union - Strumica, as part of the project "Young people - the new promoters of the cultural identity of the cross-border region." During the discussions, representatives of the civil sector, local authorities and educational institutions from Bulgaria and North Macedonia discussed the main problems and challenges in promoting the common cultural heritage of the cross-border region of the two countries.

On the second day of the event, the participating visited tourism and cultural landmarks of Strumica and the region.

The main results and recommendations of the discussions are gathered in a general report of the event, which has been disseminated to stakeholders in the cross-border region.

During the forum were presented some of the main activities implemented within the project, namely a short video competition on "Share the cultural heritage of your region" and a joint cultural calendar of events and initiatives in the cross-border region of Bulgaria and North Macedonia.
