Cover WEB 2020 EN

The European Commission has launched Re-open EU - an internet platform in all official languages with basic information, allowing the safe resumption of free movement and tourism throughout Europe.

To help people confidently plan their trips and holidays in the summer and beyond, the platform will provide real-time information on borders, available vehicles, travel restrictions, public health and safety measures, such as physical distancing or wearing safety masks, as well as other practical information for travellers.

The platform is part of the package of measures in the field of tourism and transport announced by the Commission on 13 May 2020, which aims to restore confidence in travellers and help the safe resumption of tourism in the EU while respecting the necessary health precautions. The new platform, which also has a mobile version (web application), brings together up-to-date information from the Commission and the Member States and will serve as a key starting point for anyone travelling in the EU. With the help of an interactive map, people will be able to find information, up-to-date data and advice for each EU Member State. The platform will be accessed through an application or website. It will be available in the 24 official languages of the EU.
