The festival is organized by the municipality of Gotse Delchev in the picturesque village of Delchevo in the Pirin Mountain. The holiday is dedicated to the Day of Saint Trifon, the patron of vine-growers and wine-producers and is also known as Trifon Zarezan or the wine day. On the first day, there is a contest for the best producer of homemade wine and rakia (grape brandy). On the second day, there is a ritual pruning of vines, followed by a folklore music programme at the square in the village of Delchevo. The most prominent participants in the celebrations are the mummers (babugeri) from the village of Mosomishte.
